A Visit to the School Garden

We have been learning about plant life in our science lessons this week. We were lucky enough to get Merlin Woods' resident gardening expert Múinteoir Karmel to teach us all about what plants need to grow. She also gave our class a tour of the school garden. Thanks Múinteoir Karmel!

Fractions Art for Maths Week

Last week was Maths Week in the Merlin Woods so we created fractions art in our class. Using halves, quarters and eighths of circles, the children used their imagination to create their very own fractions animal.

Human Clock

We were learning about time in our class this week and we made our very own human clock! Using number cards 1–12 we made a clock circle. Then 2 children were chosen to be the hands and had to make the time called out by the múinteoir.

Try Everything!

Our class gave a great performance of the song 'Try Everything' at this week's school assembly. Here we are rehearsing the song.
